I, like every other person with a guitar, have aspirations of making a life in music. I don't mean to sound jaded when I say that, but let's face it, everyone thinks they're going to "make it".
So what makes me think I'm different? I don't know that I am. All I know is that I've loved music for as long as I can remember and I put everything I have into it because I am passionate about it.
I try to be as honest as I can in my songs and not compromise them for the sake of being likable. Songs that are well written should be appreciated for what they are, not what they've been manipulated to be. I'd rather my songs be unliked and real then well received and phony.
As for me personally I am a straight shooter who is brutally honest. I wear my heart on my sleeve and while I try not to be lame and cheesy, sometimes it's just unavoidable. I am very self conscious and can be a bit neurotic at times. I am stubborn and I am strong in my convictions. Ultimately though, for me, it's all about having good times because life is too damn short to be serious all the time, you'll never make it out alive.
The most important things to me are family and friends. My wife Jane, my daughter Andrea or "Andi" for short, and my entire family have always been my biggest supporters and always keep me dreaming big. To them I am eternally grateful. As hard as being a musician can be with with all the sacrifices, having that kind of support is phenomenal and I couldn't do it without them.
  the SuperTacks 2005-Current
Once Bone Appetit saw it's member move to the cities and Seattle there was some downtime. After about a 6 month hiatus from playing it was time to start something new. I got together with long time friend and drummer Ben Craig. His band (Jackie and the Rip-Offs) had recently disbanded and after years of talking about being in a band together we finally had our shot. It was a no-brainer to add fellow guitar slinger Aaron Ashley (Bone Appetit) and Ben's brother JC to our new group. We played our first show in August 2005 and since have put out 2 albums. There is a very unique blend in the SuperTacks. Everyone brings something unique to the table and it's amazing playing with such great musicians.

Bone Appetit 1999 - Semi-Frequent Farewell/Reunion Shows
I am a founding member of the now infamous band Bone Appetit. Our songs were rough and unpolished but it became part of our appeal. What we lacked in tightness we made up for with high energy and usually unpredictable live shows. There was no idea too stupid and the anything goes attitude served us well. We were the band that did the things others were afraid to and always found ways to up the ante onstage. While we don't play many shows these days, maybe one a year, every time we do it's still amazing.
