Hey sweet Janie, it seems like so long
It's only been a year ago today
Since we packed up and moved ourselves away
Still feels like we're out there to me
We'd go walking up and down the streets
Can't help but look back and smile
One room apartment
It's all we had it's all we really need
We get by we learn to breathe

Those were the days, summertime and we're okay
What more could we ask for
We spend our time not realizing what is happening to us
Growing up ain't any easier now
Could it get any better than this

Like a vacation away from the city
It's like a world of our own
Catch myself thinking about old memories
Miss that place more than I'd known
We can't stay forever
Go ahead with all our plans
This place just ain't big enough
To hold us in it
And where we want to be and I can't see
Where the road will lead us
